Okay...I took some time to process some of the images from the Kat and Darricks engagement session Saturday. Both Kat and Darrick are tons of fun so I knew that this session would be blast! I can't wait to shoot their wedding in May!!
After a stroll down the sidewalk.
I love going across the river, and this gave me a perfect excuse!
Outside the little Ice cream shop. The people inside were very curious as to what we were doing.
A moment downtown.
Kat and Darrick first met at a Starbucks, so we made a visit.
They are both just so photogenic, I love it!
Down by Waterfront.
Darrick can be a pretty funny guy!
After we spent some time downtown, Kat and Darrick busted out the Red Sox ware!
What a fun Session!

Good Weekend!
Despite the insanity of the end of the semester, it was a good weekend. Georgia won over Florida, Michigan won over Minnesota, and I was able to have a great time with Kat and Darrick shooting their engagement pictures around Louisville! I hope to post more pictures in the next few days, but until then, here's a preview!

Days Events and Thoughts
- I kinda freaked out yesterday thinking of all the school work that has to be done in the next few weeks. Some adjustments will have to be made to my priorities.
- God has been reminding me lately not to take my eyes off of Him.
- A little nervous about the Georgia game today; and sad that I cannot watch it but...
- I am excited to be able to shoot some engagement pictures for Kat Foxworth and Darrick Holloman this afternoon! They are both really fun so it should be a good time!
- Hope to just chill and watch a movie tonight with some friends, looking forward to it.
- I will be glad when this semester is over!

McGalliard Wedding
I had the privilege this past weekend to shoot Corey and Sarah McGalliard's wedding in Winchester, TN. It was a great day for a wedding and a great wedding all around! Here are some of my favorite images from the day! Thanks Corey and Sarah for the opportunity! Y'all are great!
This little girl was too cute, she definitely was use to the camera! She wanted me to take pictures of her little bunny in all sorts of places! Check out the faces!! They really wanted that bouquet!
Some detail.
So these were some of the cutest flower girls ever! The best part, however, was when, half way down the isle, they ran out of flowers and decided to turn around and retreat out the back of the sanctuary!

May I say Welcome...
One of my best friends of all time, Jessee Wendt, finally entered the blogosphere! Jessee and I pretty much grew up together and have a whole ton of hilarious memories together of every kind. ...Including, being held at gun point while trespassing on a dirt bike venture, burning down half of my back yard while playing Monopoly, and suffering from severe diarrhea while playing tennis on multiple occasions with no restrooms or a way home! Most times, we pretty much don't stop laughing when we're together! I was able to live with Jessee this past summer while working with Freedom Church and will be back down again for the holidays, can't wait! Welcome friend!

The Weekend...
This weekend flew by! It was a good weekend though. Friday, as mentioned, I was able to drive down to TN to shoot a friends wedding, which I will post pictures of soon, Lord willing. It was great to see Corey! We got to be good friends when he went to school at Boyce and we also worked together at Chick-Fil-A. It was a beautiful day for a wedding and I was grateful to be a part!
Sunday morning, after returning to Louisville Saturday night, I was able to finally take an opportunity to visit Crossing Church, a church plant from Sojourn Community Church. I have several friends to go to Crossing and have wanted to visit for some time, but have not had the opportunity. Although I was told that this Sunday was not the norm, for the most part, I liked it!
This is going to be a crazy week, but it will be a good one. If I can just keep from drowning in all this school work as the end draws near, I will be happy.

Fear
There are few things I hate more than fear and being nervous. Fear is paralyzing. It stops you from doing what you know you need to do or should do; yet it also reveals a lot about where your trust lies. We are told in scripture not to fear, Is 41:10. We are told to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6-7. As Craig Groeschel put it, we start to fear when we believe that "... Our effort is better than God's power." Is God bigger than my problems or are my problems bigger than God? Sadly, many times, I believe the latter over the former.

No.
This is a very difficult word for me to say, but I am learning. I MUST learn! With the pressures of the circus life of juggling many different things all at once, there comes a time when I must realize that I cannot handle anything else and still fulfill my responsibilities with excellence. I am learning the importance of knowing my limits. Everyone's limits are different and I must know my own and abide by them. Sometimes this requires saying no to some really good things for the sake of better things. I must also realize that by saying no to some things, I am really making myself more effective. By saying yes to too many things, I am spreading myself too thin and will do none of the things I am committed to, to the degree of excellence with which they should be done. This also contributes to many other dangers such as stress, fatigue, burnout, and apathy. I must aggressively guard my focus and priorities, if not for the sake of effectiveness and God's glory, for the sake of my own sanity. I don't want to do many things half-heartedly, I want to do a few things whole-heartedly, and at times, this requires saying no.

New Toy!
In light of several opportunities to shoot some weddings in the coming months, it was time to make a new purchase! This new addition is the Canon 30d. This is an amazing camera and one that I have wanted for some time. Until now, it wasn't necessary that I have one, but with the price of renting one at over $100 and the need of a second body in case one breaks, the time arrived to make the purchase. It is a beautiful thing! I can't wait to break it in this next weekend when I have the opportunity to shoot my friends Corey and Sarah's wedding in Tennessee!

Freedom Church
Last night, before I headed back to Louisville, I was able to stick around for Freedom's launch team meeting. Man, a lot has changed since I left this past summer! It was great to see how things are progressing, and they are progressing quickly! JR has been discussing some of the core values and the band was rockin, Blake does a great job! I can't wait to see where God takes them! I hope to be back in the ATL around Christmas time and there is no telling where things will be by then!! You guys rock! Keep it up!

Thrashers Game
After the conference yesterday my friend Jessee was awesome and got myself and some other friends tickets to the first Thrashers game of the season! I love Hockey so this was great for me. Sadly they lost 1-3 to the Capitals but it was still a good game! It was great to get away from all my thoughts and just have some fun! Thanks a lot Jessee, it was a blast!!

Catalst - Day Two
Where to begin?...
Disturb me, Lord, when my dreams come true, only because I dreamed too small. Disturb me when I arrive safely, only because I sailed too close to the shore. Disturb me when the things I have gained cause me to lose my thirst for more of You. Disturb me when I have acquired success, only to lose my desire for excellence. Disturb me when I give up too soon and settle too far short of the goals You have set for my life. Amen.” Sir Francis Drake - 1577
Craig Groeschel mentioned this quote in closing yesterday! Man, what a powerful message and he was hilarious! He was definitely near the top of the list of best speakers! I can't wait to read his book!
There is way too much going trough my head from the conference that I am still trying to sort through to say much about it here right now, but I will just say that I was very challenged and and I know that God is continuing to stir my heart about some issues. I have been chewing on this quote by Sir Francis Drake and I pray that this would be the cry of my heart always! More later. All in all is was a great conference, I missed out on Erwin Mcmanus, but hopefully I can hear the message at some point! It was also great to be able to hang out with Mark, JR, and Todd from Freedom, I am always challenged by them!

Catalyst-Day One
It has been one long day! After only about two hours of sleep due to hysteria, we left the Hotel this morning around 6:30 and didn't make it back until around 10:00. It was a good day, however, despite the lack of sleep! There were some really good speakers...some good speakers, and some not so good speakers. Here are just a few pics from day one!
