-Loose Ends-

Taking some time today to try and finish up some last minute details before Jen and I head to Texas tomorrow! We are so excited and very much looking forward to spending some time with our Texas family! The primary reason for our trip is my Brother-in-Law's wedding! We are SO excited for them! Jon and Megan have known each other since childhood and have quite a long history together! They have a blog where Megan wrote about their history including a piece from her journal when she was 10 saying: I'm in love with Jonathan Warren" and also:For some reason I feel sure that he is the man, I wonder why?" Crazy awesome!! Check out their blog here! Not sure if I'll have the opportunity to blog while there, so, if not I'll be sure to post some of our fun when we get back!! Chau!!

Oh The Bliss!!

Spring is closing in fast and I love it!!! It was a lovely 70 degree day and the flowers are beginning to bloom everywhere! It's always more fun to get out of the house when it's nice out, so Jen and I decided to treat ourselves to Chick-Fil-A, one of our favorite places! We were amazingly surprised as well, because today was Repeat Receipt day! Order whatever you want today and then if you bring your receipt back before the 31'st you get the exact same meal for FREE!! I suppose we're just simpletons in some ways, but this made us REALLY excited! It was great! To finish off the day, we swung by school to see some old friends! Great evening all around!

This is actually a picture I took last Spring but flowers like this are blooming all over Louisville! Can't wait to get out and shoot some in the midst of them all!

In The Presence of Greatness!

So I've got to give a shout out! All this time I've been in the presence of greatness and I didn't even know it! Jen and I are a part of an amazing community group at Crossing Church here in Louisville, which we love!! This group is compiled of truly great people, all of whom we love dearly! In the midst is TJ Grant. TJ is a graphic designer by profession and hobby! Yesterday we got a glimpse of some of his personal work and he is crazy talented! Being in somewhat related fields, I have tremendous respect for this form of art! I thought you all might enjoy some of it as well! Check out some of his other work at his blog here! A Walk In The Park

Today was such a beautiful day in Louisville...sunny and 70! I love it! Jen and I decided to take a walk in the park and enjoy the evening! I brought my camera along and got some fun shots, maybe I'll share a few more soon, for now, here's a shot of Jen's fun shoes!! I love the Spring!

Kyle and Michelle - Engaged!

Ok, so here are a few more of my favorites from Kyle and Michelle's engagement session! It was like 80 degrees that day so I was in heaven! We had tons of fun hangin out on Frankfort Avenue for a bit; there are SO many fun spots! Louisville is an amazing place in the spring and I can't wait till the flowers start blooming! Anyways, we had a great time! Hope you enjoy them!

Tuesday night I had the privilege of shooting some engagement pics for some close friends of ours Kyle and Michell! They're getting married on the June 13'th in Texas and I have the distinct honor of shooting they're wedding! I'll post more soon, so check back! Here is a preview of our fun evening!

-A Taste of Spring-

This weekend it is BEAUTIFUL in the Ville! Maybe not perfectly sunny, but yesterday it was 75 degrees and today its about 70! Perfect opportunity to put on the shorts and flip flops (my most favorite summer attire) and take a nice walk around the block! I took the opportunity to have another photography learning session with Jen as well! She is getting quite accomplished with the camera I would add, as noticed by the rather artsy picture of myself taken by the aforementioned photographer! It was a great way to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon!

Fun Times in the Windy City!

After Aaron and Dana's wedding we stuck around for a day to see and enjoy the city. Downtown Chicago is a really cool and I wish we could have seen more of it! We did get to grub on some deep dish pizza at Gino's East and enjoy Caribou coffee on Michigan Avenue though! Very good times! For your viewing pleasure I've added a little video snip we took outside of Caribou, we laughed and laughed at this! I have so much fun with her! Enjoy!

McGuirt Wedding: Full Post

Alright, here are some more of my favorite images from Aaron and Dana's wedding! It was a great time, and man, what a great couple! I've known Dana for quite some time now, and had the pleasure of meeting Aaron for the first time this weekend. Both are extremely genuine an kind! It was definitely a joy to shoot their wedding!

McGuirt: Sneak Peek!!

The Wife and I are having a great time in Chicago, despite not feeling the greatest. The wedding was beautiful and we were honored to be a part of such a special day in the life of our friends! Here is a sneak peek of the wedding! Check back tomorrow for some more great shots of the day!

To Chicago!!

Jen and I are headed up to Chicago tomorrow for the weekend to shoot a friends wedding! Should be tons of fun! I am so excited to now be able to travel with my wife! Traveling is not fun all by yourself, at least it's not for me...so it will be great to have her along! Hopefully we'll have some pix up shortly after we get back! Anybody know some good grubbin spots in the "Windy City"?

Honeymoon in Paradise Slideshow: Kauai, Hawaii

As promised, I wanted to put up a little slideshow of our Honeymoon in Hawaii! It was SO fun!! Hawaii is one of my favorite places on earth and I was very glad to be able to go back with my best friend and Sweetheart! Enjoy!

Props & Gratitude!

Wow...where to begin? I couldn't be more thankful for all those who were involved in our wedding! It is overwhelming! I am convinced that we have some of the greatest friends anyone could have...some go back a while, and some are new! For those who don't know the story, the week of our wedding Louisville was hit with a pretty destructive ice storm which rendered our planned ceremony chapel without power! However, through the gracious provision of the Lord and the hard work of really great friends and family we were able to move everything, the day before, to another location. Everything went off without a hitch and it was awesome!!! We couldn't be happier with how things turned out!

I think the number one question I got from most everybody when talking about our wedding was "who is going do the photography?" Well, a special thanks goes to Kyle Conder of KC Photography, and Charles Smith and Devon Maddox of Charles Smith Photography...our photographers! These guys did a great job and we are grateful and indebted for their involvement in our special day! I love meeting and networking with other photographers so hanging out with these guys was a real treat!
