Free To Succeed Tour!
This day couldn't get much better! Today I signed up for the Free To Succeed Tour coming to Indianapolis in August to hear David Jay teach a 4 hour seminar about Wedding Photography and his success in the business! If you haven't checked out his stuff, he is amazing! Check out some of the video's especially! Anyways, this seminar was only $100 bucks to begin with but because I was one of the first to sign up I got half off! Heck yes!!

Date Night
After I got off work last night I found out that the community group we were going to visit was canceled...So I thought I would take the opportunity to take my girl out for a walk at St. James Ct. in Old Louisville. My sister and I found this place one day and it's just to coolest part of town! The Architecture and landscaping is beautiful!
We ended the night with a little White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle luvin from the Cheescake Factory! Mmmm!

Grub and Waterfront
A couple of buddies and I headed out to Moe's last night for a killer burrito (and I don't care what anyone says...Moe's beats Qdoba any day!!) then Emil and I jumped down to waterfront to catch some pics of the sunset! Always a good time!
Here's what we ended up with!
Check out Bro-ski in the background wondering what the trash we're doing!
My camera was about 2 inches from the water...kind of scary! It was a great idea though, thanks Emil! We stopped at this old wall thing in the middle of the road and were able to get some really cool silhouettes! (really difficult word to spell by the way!)

Skylight!
If you haven't noticed, I am fascinated by the sky and especially the summer sky! I snapped some shots the other day of some awesome clouds and then couldn't resist taking some long exposure shots of the moon and clouds tonight, the sky was crazy cool!
It was a beautiful night!
Below is a 30 second exposure with a slow apurature...here are the stats if anyone is interested...(ISO 250, 30.00, f/11, 17-55@17.0mm) I love how you can see the movement of the clouds!!

True Rest
Excerpt from A Gospel Primer by Milton Vincent...Extremely encouraging!
Resting in Christ's Righteousness
"The Gospel encourages me to rest in my righteous standing with God, a standing which Christ Himself has accomplished and always maintains for me. I never have to do a moment's labor to gain or maintain my justified status before God! Freed from the burden of such a task, I now can put my energies into enjoying God, pursuing holiness and ministering God's amazing grace to others."
"The Gospel also reminds me that my righteous standing with God always holds firm regardless of my performance, because my standing is based solely on the work of Jesus and not mine. On my worst days of sin and failure, the gospel encourages me with God's unrelenting grace towards me. On my best days of victory and usefulness, the gospel keeps me relating to God solely on the basis of Jesus righteousness and not mine!"
What freedom and rest there is in this fact!!

Overwhenming .
Sometimes things just get a little overwhelming. I see where I want to be, and where I am currently...I have so far to go and seemingly little time to get there. I'm not really fond of these overwhelming times but they're good reminders that I'm not the one in control anyways...no sense in worrying then. Day by day!

Good Days!
The last couple of days have been full of activity, not necessarily doing anything in particular but through answered prayers. In coming days I'll give more details, but they've been good to say the least! The weather has been incredible the last couple of days as well so I thought I'd through in an image I took yesterday afternoon that I really liked. Enjoy!

They call it Geo-caching!
Me and some of the guys hung out last night and decided to use Tony's GPS to go Geo-caching! If your not familiar with what it is, its a pretty simple process! All you need is a GPS device. People hide little containers all over the state, country and world for people to find using their GPS. Once hidden, they record the coordinates online for people to go and find. Each Geo-cach has different items in it and once you find it your suppose to sign your name and add something of yours to the container. Some are difficult to find, some are decently easy, some are disguised very well, some are not. It was fun! Last night we found 3 out of 4! Great time with the guys!!
The beginning...the writing of the coordinates.
Dan and Riddle bickering before we left... :)
Behind the camera.
Yep.
Deep thought.
Found one!
Down the tracks.
Fieldage.
The hunt continues!
Foliage.
Tony's toy. (I want one!)
Riddle with the find...#2.
This last one we found in a cemetery...and some random dude was just sitting their in the dark...definitely sketch!

Friends!
You know those friends that are always there to encourage you? I like those friends! I want to be one of those friends. The kind that, no matter what is going on, they listen, encourage, don't hold grudges, genuinly care about you, and are always fun to be around! I have several of those friends in my life and am so thankful for them! They're not afraid to tell you when they see something in you that isn't right...but you know they genuinly care about you so its not offensive. This is the kind of friend that I want to be to others! I was reminded of this after having a conversation with a good friend on the phone just now...it was both refreshing and challenging! This is the kind of friend I hope to be!

Date night!
So my girl was sweet and decided to take me out to dinner last night! Normally I would be opposed to such behavior but I decided to let it slide this time! :) We went to Rafferty's, my favorite restaurant, then headed down to waterfront to enjoy the evening! It was great, thanks Sweetheart!
