-Christmas With the Coobs-
Merry Christmas all! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and are enjoying time with family and friends! I've been fortunate enough to be able to be at home in Colorado for Christmas and its been great to have some down time and spend some great time with my family! We didn't finish opening gifts till almost 1pm but it was nice to take it slow and have some laughs (as seen in the middle row of photos as my parents crack up laughing at a gag gift given by my sister!). I head back to Louisville on Sunday; not quite ready to head back to work just yet, but on Monday I'll get to see my Sweetheart so it's all good! Anyways, I hope everyone has had a great Christmas!

-Longing for Blogging-
So, my blogging has been lacking lately to say the least! For this I am ashamed...ok, not really...I've just been very busy and priority has taken over! Things should start settling down soon however, and regular blogging will continue! The holidays are coming, along with some time at home! Looking forward to this very much! I'll be posting a slideshow of the most recent wedding I shot last month as well, so stay tuned!

Planning Planning Planning!
Its a busy week! I feel like we're getting a lot accomplished though! I fear that blogging consistently has fallen to the wayside...my apologies!
P.S. I spend so much time thinking about other people's weddings, now its fun to have the opportunity to think about my own wedding!! How awesome is that!!

Hughes Wedding - Ft. Myers
This past weekend, I had the privilege of shooting Janal and Jonathan Hughes Wedding in Ft. Myers Florida! It was a great trip and an incredibly beautiful wedding! Made a long weekend out of it and drove down with Jenny and a good friend of mine from Georgia! Tons of fun! A special thanks to Jon and Brooke Malko for letting Jenny crash with them for a few days! Thanks also to Jon and Janal for the great opportunity! Enjoy!
P.S. I used to be able to make the pictures bigger on here, but for some odd reason now I can't get it to work...bummer! If anyone knows how to do it let me know!
We couldn't go all the way down to Ft. Myers without stoping by the beach! I LOVE the beach!

Election Day Thoughts...By Mark

I am a dual citizen. I am an American by birth, and I am dedicated to the great nation that God has allowed me to live in and grow a family in. First and foremost, however, I am a citizen of the Kingdom of God. It is a Kingdom in which the economy does not crash, that can never fall from power, and whose King is and will always be victorious. No matter what happens the King is not shaken, nor caught by surprise. He rules, not by the power of the people, but powerfully over all people. His plans cannot be thwarted, His term never expires, and He conquers all His enemies. It is a Kingdom not merely limited by the borders of the United States of America, but rather expands globally to emcompass people from every tongue and every tribe.
As a dual citizen my responsibility is great. My citizenship as an American takes 2nd place to my citizenship in God's Kingdom. Further, my citizenship in God's Kingdom greatly effects my citizenship as an American citizen. As an American citizen I have been given the responsibility to vote for my leaders. As a Citizen in God's Kingdom I have been given the responsibility to vote according the values which God has set forth in His written Word. Therefore, I must approach the voting booth with a mindset that the leaders I choose to give my voice to must align mostly with the values that my King holds dear. This does not mean what the Candidate says he/she holds dear, but rather the values he/she displays and demonstrates.
Today I vote. I have a duty, and I have a responsibility. As a citizen in God's Kingdom, choosing not to vote is a dangerous choice because I am well aware that the America before me is the one I have the responsibility to choose. The America that my children will inhabit longer than I is the America in which I presently have an active voice. Choosing not to vote is not only a bad choice, but an irresponsible one. It is not merely irresponsible as an American citizen, but as a citizen in God's Kingdom."

That's Right Boys....She's Mine!!
Sorry for the laps in blogging lately...I've been a LITTLE preoccupied.
You see, last night I had the opportunity to ask the women of my dreams to marry me! Until a little over a year ago I didn't know a women existed that was so perfect for me, then Jenny Lee Warren came alllllllll the way from Texas to little ole Louisville to go to school where I happened to go as well. I was immediately interested began to look for opportunities to get to know her. She has the sweetest spirit of anyone I've ever met and is the epitome of a "gentle and quiet spirit" as I Peter 3:4 says! Lest you think this makes someone drab...she's also goofy and tons of fun! Making her laugh is one of my favorite things! Words cannot express how excited and blessed I am to get to spend the rest of my life with her!!
How's that for sappy? Don't care a bit!! :)
